- Step 1
- Measure and pour the fresh coffee grounds into your glass. Add the sweet almond oil.
- Step 2
- Replace the lid on the jar and shake thoroughly to disperse the oil throughout the grounds.
- Step 3
- Let the jar sit in a sunny spot for 2-5 days, shaking it once a day.
- Step 4
- Using a fine mesh-strainer, filter the coffee-oil mixture into the heat safe glass bowl. Discard the grounds.
- Step 5
- Add the beeswax to the coffee-oil solution. Plae the bowl in a small saucepan of water and heat it until the wax is fully melted.
- Step 6
- Remove the mixture from heat and allow it cool to a lukewarm temperature.
- Step 7
- Empty the water from the pan and add the witch hazel. Heat it until it's lukewarm then pour into a medium bowl. Beat with a hand mixer on medium while adding the coffee-oil mixture in a slow and steady stream.
- Step 8
- Continue beating the witch hazel and the coffee-oil mixture together until creamy emulsion forms, then transfer to a larger lidded jar.
- Step 9
- Apply around and underneath the eye area for a quick pick-me-up. Keep in the fridge between uses - this cream is more effective when it's cold.
