- Step 1
- Using a knife, cut the shea butter soap into 1-inch (2.5 cm) square chunks and put them in a heat-safe glass measuring cup
- Step 2
- To melt the soap base, pour 2 inches (5 cm) of water into a small saucepan and place the measuring cup inside. Warm over a medium-low heat on the stove top, stirring to break up the chunks.
- Step 3
- Remove the measuring cup from the heat when the soap has almost melted. Stir it gently with a spoon to melt any remaining soap fragments.
- Step 4
- Open the activated charcoal capsules into the measuring cup and stir with a spoon to combine.
- Step 5
- Add in the tea-tree oil with a pipette. Stir together slowly to prevent the soap from forming bubbles.
- Step 6
- Select and ready your soap molds. Whatever containers you choose, spray them down with cooking spray and then wipe away any excess.
- Step 7
- Pour the soap mixture into the molds. Let them sit for 1 hour to completely set, then transfer molds to the freezer for another house or so.
- Step 8
- Remove the molds from the freezer - you should be able to pop your soaps right out .
- Step 9
- Use daily to wash your face and body, and watch those breakouts start to disappear!
